Snorkelling and Diving

The underwater world around Pulau Tengah is filled with marine biodiversity. Our PADI 5-star Dive Resort, run by qualified dive instructors, takes you underneath the surface on an exploratory adventure. We offer PADI Courses, fun dives, discover scubas and snorkelling trips.

Marine Life: Spot nudibranchs, stingrays, turtles, black-tip reef sharks amongst seagrass meadows and vibrant coral formations.
Dive Sites: Explore 15 fringing reefs with fascinating topography and depths ranging from 2 to 20 meters, suitable for all dive abilities.
Snorkelling Trails: Explore our trails, suitable for all skill levels, for a fun snorkelling experience for everyone.
Learn to Dive: Get Open Water certified or progress to diving courses, just a short trip from Singapore.

Our Spa

Our Spa is a sanctuary of wellness, guided by the ethos ‘Health is a Gift.’ Each of our customised packages focus on beauty, self-regeneration, health and wellness. Using locally sourced, natural spa products, our treatments are designed to rejuvenate both your body and mind. Set amongst the trees, with the calming sounds of the sea and nature, it’s a place for you to relax in the capable hands of our therapists.

Food and Drink

Great food is a big part of your stay at Batu Batu. Our main restaurant is a breezy open-sided pavilion with stunning 270-degree ocean views, serving delicious full-board meals three times a day. We grow many of our ingredients in our organic garden, such as fresh herbs like Thai basil and Raja Ulam, as well as papayas, bananas, and a variety of green leafy vegetables. Our kitchen team is happy to cater to dietary requirements, including dairy-free, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly options.

For drinks, visit The Bar, located on the rocks with stunning sea views. Alternatively, unwind at our rustic beach Tiki bar, or The Sunset Bar, where daily drinks are served from 11am until nightfall.

Daily Changing Menus: Featuring fresh local seafood, high-quality meats, and dishes including Malaysian beef rendang, grilled snapper in banana leaf, and authentic Malaysian rice tables.
Bakery & Pastry Kitchen: Homemade breads and tropical fruit tarts as well as homemade mousses, ice creams, and other delicious desserts.
Child-Friendly Options: A rotating children’s menu which includes downsized adult dishes and baby food purees.

Conservation

Be inspired by the incredible work of Tengah Island Conservation (TIC), our on-site conservation NGO. Visit the Tunku Abdul Jalil Conservation Centre and turtle hatchery, where our friendly scientists and interns share insights into TIC’s ongoing conservation projects.

Adopt a Turtle Nest

Contribute to TIC’s turtle conservation project by adopting a nest for RM300 (approx. US$72). You can also adopt a nest online through TIC’s website.

Beach Clean-Up

Spend a few hours helping the Batu Batu and TIC teams clean up the shores of Pulau Tengah or beyond You can sign up at reception or TIC during your stay.

Conservation Tour

A tour by TIC around our Conservation Centre and Turtle Hatchery, where you’ll learn about a variety of marine conservation topics. Tree planting activities are also available upon request during your visit.

Volunteer with TIC

If marine biology and conservation interest you, apply for a longer volunteer program with TIC. Details are available on the Tengah Island Conservation website.

Are the activities suitable for children?

Yes! Many of our activities, including snorkelling, kayaking, beach games, and paddleboarding, are family-friendly. For our youngest guests, children aged 0–3 years stay and eat for free. Our team is also happy to prepare fresh, puree-based baby food made without any added salt or additives. We also offer a rotating children’s menu and provide baby food for our younger gu
