A nature led Forest School camp on an off grid island where children explore, create and grow, because some of the best childhood memories are made outside by being barefoot, muddy and completely absorbed in the moment.
20 – 22 June 2026
What if nature was the classroom? The Hundred Paths Forest School Camp brings this simple idea to life, where children are trusted to follow their curiosity, honouring their own rhythm, in the natural world.Set among forests, beaches, rocky coves and open ocean, it is a place where adventure and quiet reflection come together, helping children develop a sense of connection towards nature.
Surrounded by forest on one side and ocean on the other, each morning from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, children are invited into a carefully held space where the unexpected is always welcome. Here’s what that looks like:
For children aged 4 to 16 who are curious, active, and open to exploring the outdoors.
Whether naturally adventurous or still finding their confidence, this camp offers a supportive, small-group environment — with a coach-to-child ratio of 1:5 for growth, creativity, and connection with nature.
This is a whole-family escape — not just a camp drop-off. While the children spend their mornings deep in the forest with Hundred Paths, the rest of the day is yours: snorkelling, lounging, exploring the island, or simply doing nothing at all. Batu Batu takes care of everything.
We’ve put together Family Stay Packages — combining villa accommodation with the Hundred Paths Forest School programme in one. Book by 31 May 2026 and enjoy our best rates, starting from SGD 3000* for 3 nights (4 days).

Saturday, 20 June
(Program Day 1)
Exploration & Creativity
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Forest Walk
A forest walk calms children’s nervous systems while giving them space to connect naturally and form new friendships in a relaxed, playful way.
Beach Cleanup
Children move along the shoreline with quiet purpose, collecting bits of drifted debris as they go. What begins as a simple task becomes an act of care, deepening their connection to the ocean and their understanding of how small efforts can protect it.
Free Play
Through free play, children are given the time and space to move at their own pace, following curiosity as it leads them across the island’s shores and forest. In this unhurried rhythm, they begin to form a quiet relationship with the land and with one another.
Sunday, 21 June
(Program Day 2)
Movement & Skill Building
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Tengah Island Conservation activities
Children will also explore the island’s marine world through hands-on activities guided by a marine biologist from Tengah Island Conservation (TIC). Through close observation and gentle discovery, they will learn about the creatures and ecosystems that live beneath the surface, building a deeper sense of curiosity and care for the ocean.
Clay Exploration & Painting
Children are invited to explore clay with their hands: mixing, moulding, and slowly discovering its texture and possibilities. As they add water and turn it into a paint, they begin to mark surfaces, bodies and natural materials.
Knot-tying & Nature Frame
Learning to tie simple knots gives children a way to bring their ideas to life, using ropes and branches to build nature frames. Along the way, they work together, sharing materials and shaping something meaningful from the land.
Weaving Craft
Weaving with yarn and sticks helps children develop fine motor skills and hand strength, while encouraging self-expression.
Monday, 22 June
Program Day 3 (Morning) & Departure (Afternoon)
Creation & Connection
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Mini Raft Building
As the children follow their own ideas and curiosity, they gather natural materials to create floating, mini vessels. They can test and design their mini rafts or simply observe their friends while practitioners gently support their exploration.
Firewood search
Children will be invited to explore the forest with purpose, spotting twigs, sticks, and other natural materials that could help create a fire. This experience helps develop a deeper respect for the resources the forest provides.
Campfire
Together, the children will tend the fire with care. Roasting marshmallows becomes a slow, grounding moment where children share stories and gently round off their shared forest experience.
Departure
After the final morning session wraps up, choose to head home on the 1:00 PM boat, or stay for lunch and soak up a little more of the island before catching the 4:00 PM departure.
Batu Batu is a serene eco-island retreat featuring 22 villas on Pulau Tengah, nestled within Malaysia’s Johor Marine Park. Surrounded by eight pristine white-sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, this enchanting island is a haven for wildlife, where juvenile reef sharks glide through the shallows and endangered sea turtles graze in lush seagrass meadows.
Hundred Paths is a Forest School collective with a simple but powerful belief: children are already capable. Children need space, time and adults who trust them.
Founded and led by practitioners trained in the internationally recognised Forest School approach, Hundred Paths has been shaping nature-based experiences across Singapore, offering spaces where children are invited to be their authentic selves and connect deeply with the natural world. Rooted in child-led interactions, each session unfolds through trust, observation and time, with coaches holding space as children follow their own paths of discovery.
